The South Baldwin Volunteer Fire Company would like to thank all the residents that made it to the carnival and our heartfelt thanks go out to each and every resident and business that donated. Our goal is to provide the very best fire protection to the residents and businesses in our area. Your donations help us to purchase New and Improved equipment. This equipment is important in a number of ways. The first one is that the most up to date equipment provides improved safety for your firefighters. This allows us to go into any situation confident that this equipment that you helped us to purchase will keep all of us safe. The second, and most important reason, is to provide safety to you, our residents, our customers, our neighbors, and in may cases, our friends.

Welcome to the South Baldwin Volunteer Fire Company Web site. Proudly serving the Borough of Baldwin since 1959 and located in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. The South Baldwin Volunteer Fire Company (SBVFC) along with Option Independent, Baldwin #1, and Becks Run all work together to provide 24-hour fire protection coverage in Baldwin Borough. SBVFC works with other surrounding municipal fire departments when responding to mutual aid calls. SBVFC is now dispatched through the Allegheny County 911 system.

Take a moment and travel through our web site to view some of the activities, history, and pictures from actual fire calls.

Visit our member’s page to see who in our community proudly carry the tradition started in 1957. Hopefully, you will recognize a name, an old baseball coach, Scout leader, co-worker, or church parishioner. Remember them when you hear the siren begins to sound, that means they are going to perform the greatest job in the world: helping their fellow Baldwin residents.
